Just as we posted two blogs about SPACE1's development of Space Country, offers and suggestions began pouring in.
One quick and dirty route is conducting negotiations, or not, to acquire an old no-longer-in-use off-shore oil rig platform, of which there are many. Some of these abandoned units may be free for the taking and reclamation, and may not require much cost for refurbishing as needed to create massive rocket launch/landing platforms and high rise mega cities. Many of these large cities on an oil rig could serve well as a starter country, and already have the many required amenities constructed.
