Singularity Observatory Mars Compared

As Mars moves closer to the Earth

Mars Compared
Don't believe what you think you see! Your eyes may deceive you! Compare the 1800s drawn Mars map view (at right) with the modern day view typical of high resolution telescopes, space telescopes and spacecraft to Mars. In the modern view, there are no canals.

In modern times, it was found that canals did not exist and were only in the over active imaginative minds of the Astronomers of the historical past. To add to the confusion, Italian astronomers saw channels, which they named with the Italian language word Canali, which was then confused with the English word Canal, which is man-made waterway. This spread the belief in that age that aliens existed on Mars and they channeled water from the ice polar cap using made canals. In high resolution telescopes, the canals were nonexistent and many craters and other objects appeared such as volcanoes, sand dunes, and ironically the evidence of dried up river beds from millions of years ago.
