Space1 Rocket X Body Shipment

A hot new shipment of commercial SPACE1 Rocket X bodies are beginning to arrive. An unfortunate line of seal was visible in the previous lot causing it to be rejected, delaying the Rocket X program.

The new arrived rocket bodies have a line of seal that's far less noticeable and passed the rocket fuel pressurization and strength tests for use in Rocket X. Rocket fuel pressure varies upon temperature - as the temp increases, so does the pressure. This increase can become significant during the hot summer months. A rocket body must therefore be SPACE1 certified under a wide range of operating temperatures.

Space1 Fuel Pressure Tank Tests

Space1 is now conducting fuel pressure tank tests. The data is from measuring the delivery and regularity of pressurized fuel flow from one pressure tank to another and determine the piping length and flow efficiency. Pump pressure is important data to consider as well. When tests are completed, the pressure tank will receive pressure hoses incised to the exact length and pressure fittings will be installed. Then, the final round of tests will be made and concluded.

Space1 Rocket Launch Pad

Space1 is developing a new rocket launch pad. The pad includes all facilities to support a rocket launch, including fueling, pressur-ization, vertical support, and the valves supporting lift off. 

The system design now has a pressur-ization equalization safety valve feature to keep pressure inside the rocket at a safe level. When the rocket pressure exceeds a critical level, the valve opens and the pressure is equalized.

The launch pad now has an automatic fueling sequential piping system that facilitates pressurized fueling. A pressurized fueling is much faster than the old manual method and is more accurate to deliver the specific amount of gauged pressure.

Also added is rapid pressurization control to the nearest PSI for the greatest accuracy. Rocket pumps can deliver the required pressurization accuracy. Mains pressurization relief valve ensures the depressurization of the rocket as needed. Portable fuel tanks are being added to the system, allowing safe transport of fuel and storage of fuel at on site locations.

The rocket pad has a fuel dumping feature, that allows the dumping of fuel when launch missions are complete. The overall design makes the entire launch pad portable. The safety catchment and release system is also a new feature which allows remote launching automatically.

Space1 Lossless Air Dock

Space1 has invented the first Lossless Air Dock

The new LAD is the most efficient design for space use. It allows astronauts to transfer from the Rocket Space Station to the Delta Wing Flyer without any loss of air or oxygen. This is accomplished by a direct connection from both vehicles and a special hatch mechanism. Once the human transfer is made, the hatch mechanism is closed and the connection is released. Air and pressure is maintained in both the Rocket Space Station and the Delta Wing Flyer at all times. No air or oxygen is wasted or lost. To dock with the station, the connection is made again and the hatch is opened. For additional safety at all times, the hatch can remain sealed.
