Witness to the precipice of evolution |

As I sit here pondering, drinking proverbial tea, I wonder the outcome of one of the largest, most expensive and challenging projects I have ever taken on. Buying a new home, moving all my things and worldly possessions, buying and obtaining the manufacture's largest most precision telescope and complex accessories, erecting a high tech observatory remotely located on an isolated foreign island deep in the subtropical Pacific Ocean, complying with a very limited time schedule with each and every day that brings Mars closer and closer, finally just to study and glimpse the rare light of Mars at its finest - a special rare oppositional event when Mars is closest to the Earth, perhaps not to be precisely repeated in my historical lifetime.
Like others, I have a greater lifetime list of the big things to accomplish with perhaps 20 already knocked of the list and only a handful more to go. This precision telescope project is now at the top of the list. What next? I also plan to go to Mars, yet possibly in my own way, either through SPACE1 or through the telescope's presence of advanced space technology such as full implementation of the beaming invention. Those first Martian settlers may have a hard life, cramped indoors in a tiny space, little air or food, no access to many common things, and only very hard work in store for every day. Later, Mars will become a luxury vacation spot with millions of people, many businesses and the finest and richest amenities. I guess I should not complain, having good friends, and living in a time era when Einstein, Braun, Hawking, Musk and others were alive who changed the world for the better, where I saw the birth of the space program, the completion of the international space station, the rise of ENIAC to microcomputers, the internet, humanoid robots that learned how to walk upright, and even a red Tesla electric sports car launched into space with Musk's SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket just when we thought we had seen it all!
And man walking on the moon, robots to mars and the planets in the solar system, smart rovers on planets, artificial intelligence and big brains, expeditions to asteroids, the discovery of thousands of new planets and star systems, giant space telescopes, discovery of black holes and dark matter, proving time travel is real, birth of private space industry, invention of the safety rocket, and now being intuit of one of the largest and most profound evolutionary moments in the history of mankind, becoming a multi planetary species. It is indeed an exciting and profound time to be alive, and ponder over the proverbial tea.
